Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne

I recently did a read aloud with the book Voices in the Park. I thought this was a creative book about 4 different monkey's trip to the park. Each monkey talks about their experiences and what they see in the park using their distinct voices to tell their story. This would be a great story to read using a different voice for each monkey. Children can also pick a voice and read it aloud as a play. It has beautiful pictures that tell a story within the pictures. Every time I read it i find some new and interesting in the pictures. I think people of all ages will love this book.

Shouldn't that be the criteria for whether a picture book is great or not: that kids of all ages get something out of it, that folks from different age groups do enjoy it. Thanks for bringing it up in a read-aloud.

Melissa, You read the book I was trying to find! I think it was great being able to hear both our Anthony Browne books. We got two examples of how his pictures really help tell his stories!

Melissa, I loved this book! I had never heard of it before and really enjoyed it. I liked the illustrations and it made me laugh. I think laughter is really important for anyone, haha. Keep up the good work!

I did enjoy that read aloud. Anthony Browne is a neat writer. I think this book is great for children who want to act out different monkeys, especially for smaller children that are active. Great Job!
